lower: leave the highway A26 at Verbania and take the national road heading for Verbania, pass over the town driving towards Swiss until Cannobio, 35 km far from the highway. As soon as arrived in the village turn on the left towards Valle Cannobina (yellow indication for the gorge of S. Anna). Go along the valley for about 1 km and turn left at the junction; park the car a few moments later near a little road on the right, heading to the end of the canyon.
upper: go along the valley until 3 hanging footbridges which cross the gorge. Do not pass over the bridges but go on the road on the right bank for 2 km more. Another bridge crossing the Cannobino, just before the Cavoglio Spoccia sign, marks the beginning of the gorge (about 8.5 km from Cannobio).

Approach: immediately after the bridge a little path leads to the left bank of the Cannobino.

Coming back: the gorges end in a little lake with a beach on the left side; here starts a mule-track which takes to parking in a few minutes.

Note: in case of big stream the descent can be very dangerous, since the impossibility of managing the situation; in case of normal stream and paying the right attention, fun is granted.
