Vallon du Figaret

Long legs of march divide three nice narrow parts, even if not so fine to enumerate the Figaret between the finest canyons. Surely on of the less interesting in the Vesubie area: otherwise it has the good quality of having water during all the year; this fact means also that with big flows it’s strongly advising against descending.

N.B. Access to the canyon forbidden by local decree

Access
lower: leave the highway for Marsiglia at Nice St. Isidore and run towards Puget Theniers. After about 20 km turn on the right heading for St. Martin Vesubie, entering in the homonymous valley. Run along the valley passing over St. Jean la Riviere; at the village of Le Suquet turn on the left heading for Le Figaret and Pelasque and after a few meters find the crossroad for Pelasque. Park on the bridge crossing the Figaret.
upper: go on for about 3 km more and just after the village of Les Condamines turn on the left on an asphalted path near a fountain. Park the car at the end of the street, after about 700 meters.

Approach: leave the parking and walk along the path, continueing further. After about 5 minutes turn left following the yellow mark. The path follows for a long time a small but evident pipe and then turns down on the left reaching a little affluent of the Figaret. Cross the little waterway and follow the yellow marks rising and descending along the path until a little wood bridge on the Figaret.

Coming Back: the gorge leads directly to the road.
