Rio Grande
Short but quite amusing canyon, with some toboggans, some dives and a beautiful 20 meters high fall.

Access
lower: coming from Piacenza or from Genoa, take the national road S45 of the Val Trebbia and reach Marsaglia. Fomr the center of the little village take the road haeding towatrds the Val d'Aveto, follow it for 9 km and just after a short tunnel park the car in an open space on the left of the road, a few meters far from the bed of the Rio Grande.
upper: continue on the same road for about 500 m then turn left at the first cross roads (indications for Casale-Brugnato) and go up the steep road for about 2.5 km until a little space on the left, near some rocks amongs the wood.

Approach: from the parking take a path going down to the bottom of the rocks; tha paths goes down through the wood, slightly turn right and the reach the water of a little affluent of the rio Grande. Cross the water, rise the right bank of this river and a few meters after the path goes down again, leading into the bed of the Rio Grande.

Re-entry: after the last rope descent and after a few minutes walk along the river bed take a little path on the right bank leading, in 5 minutes, onto the Aveto valley road.
