Canale degli Alberghi


In the mighty Monte Contrario range there is this beautiful gorge with the only defect to be dry 360 day a year. The Canale degli Alberghi is digged in marble and has several nice abseils and some wonderful narrows.

Difficulty: v4 a1 III
Period: water is present after heavy and lasting rainfalls
Lenght: about 1 km
Vertical drop : 360 meters (810-450)
Abseils: 15, higher 35 meters
Bolts: very good - 2022
Duration: 1h 15' approach + 3h 30' + 15' coming back
Shuttle: 0 km
Equipment: 2 ropes 60 meters long
